Vision & Mission

RIVER OF POWER MINISTRIES was birthed from a visitation and open vision received from 8:30 am -11:00 am on April 20, 1999 in a public school classroom. At that time the Lord revealed there was coming a visitation of the Holy Spirit & a worldwide move of God to the southern Ohio area and to prepare the body of Christ Apostolically and Prophetically for what the Lord was promising. Out of that experience (detailed below), the ministry of River of Power was birthed from nothing and continues to this day, continually advancing toward fulfillment of God's promise.

1. Prepare the people of God for a heretofore previously unexperienced move of God which will impact nations and serve to transform the Church into Christ's image (Matt.28:18-20; Rom.8:29). 

2. Equip & cover the gifts of Christ & saints in order to establish the Church in the Kingdom of God  (Eph. 4:11-16; Rom.14:17).

3. Gather the souls which are being prepared for the harvest through true intercession and authentic witness of Jesus Christ (Matt.9:37-38; Acts 1:8)

4. Minister freedom, deliverance, reversal of the curse and restoration of God's original intention for mankind through the power of God, reclaiming not only individuals but families, marriages, heritages, inheritances and all forms of spiritual birthright. (Lk.10:18-19; Isa.61:1-7/ Lk.4:18-19; Isa.62:1-12).

5. Establish this region with true Apostolic / Prophetic priority, function and form, demonstrating Christ's true authority in the Father's love that will increase and multiply by the power of the Spirit until not only this region but the world becomes truly filled with His Glory (1 Cor.12:28; Eph.2:20; 3:4-5; Hab.2:14).

PROPHETIC WORD FOR SOUTHERN OHIO REGION
GIVEN TO BILL CLICK APRIL 20, 1999

1. A major movement of the Holy Spirit's ministry of Jesus is coming to this area. The specific terms of this movement  I was given were "revival," "refreshing," "renewing," "outpouring" and "visitation." Note that the terms "strategy," "program," "effort," "campaign," "crusade," "meetings" and "conference" are not being used. The Lord says, "People from all over the world will truly say, "God is really moving in southern Ohio." The Lord also says, "more true models of Kingdom power will be established in southern Ohio than its ever known, and people will come from all over the world to southern Ohio, not to pray for it, but to draw from it." I have also been shown that this movement of God's Spirit willaffect all camps and will cause more disruption than anything that's ever happened in southern Ohio.

2. The Lord says, "The miraculous will indeed come, but first there will be judgment for some, for it is time to righteously fear my love and honor my anointing and the ones who will bring it forth."  The fear of the Lord is going to precede the more pleasant aspects of this movement, and many who are nonchalant about things will simply be taken out with the waves.

3. A significant part of this movement, specifically at first, but also in varying measures as time goes on, will be that "the hearts of men and women will be revealed-- both to themselves and to others -- and when they are, some major repositionings are going to take place."  Even now, people of ministry and faith whose main occupation is not church work are being repositioned through prayer to prepare the body of Christ for what is about to take place. "Transfer growth" has been a large facet of how churches have risen in this area in days gone by, and it's not over. But now, God is the one doing some transferring in and out, to bring leaders whom they need, to purge fellowships of divisive spirits and critics who will not submit to the Lord's leadership, and to mercifully give another opportunity for leaders to properly integrate people into the lives of fellowships, thus providing persons with a true opportunity to come into their maturity, for it will not come unless they are integrated and utilized according to their giftedness.  And leaders will have to account for improperly harnessing or refusing to release those who have been anointed to either stand with them or be commissioned to go in Mission. No more insecurity-oriented controlling.

4. As the hearts of persons are revealed, some new perspectives on unity (both within fellowships and among leaders and other churches) are going to be developed, and these are going to be more developed in terms of where God is taking us from this point onward and not so much where everyone stands right now in regard to their mission and perspective(s) of the Word of God. As a result, some very longstanding relationships are going to be uprooted, some new ones are going to develop, and if repentance doesn't begin now, many leaders will not safely make it through this at either the personal or ministry level.

All people in the body of Christ, and especially those in positions of leadership, should be cautioned to seek to get their marriages and families in order now. If not, many homes will be broken up -- partly because of the revelation of the hearts -- and mostly because without being in order the strain of what God is going to do through leaders and those others who will follow Him will expose the great gap that exists in many leaders homes -- the vast expanse between the hearts of each for God and for each other as well. 

5. It is going to become very clear what God wants for His Church. A major portion of what will take place will be demands for accelerated character growth placed on leaders by God Himself -- demands that will not be able to be shirked in favor of ministerial activity. All ways of holding God off by preferring institution building are going to be impossible to continue. For example, God is going to be testing the hearts of some leaders in the next few months by forcing them to put projects they truly believe are of the Lord on hold until some housecleaning and remodeling in the Spirit takes place. "The housecleaning for leaders will be in the form of ministers and congregational influences who are out of position being moved out, while those who remain will be purified and the remodeling will be in the form of new concepts of ministry and character that I will mandate -- that have always been in my Word, but these are no longer going to be neglected." -- thus says the Lord.

6.  New leaders are going to come to the forefront and some of the more visible ones of this area will fade into the background. This divine shakeup/repositioning in leadership will even cause some leaders to run from this area -- not because of God's open door, call or commission, but because God's visitation is not going to honor them, while others are going to be elevated and it is going to be a tremendous blow to their ego and pride. The Lord says, "If my chosen leave, apart from my express desire, then their shame, embarrassment and reproach will follow them."

The Lord promises that "Those who weather the coming changes without concern for how these will affect their image, standing and influence among others will become more resounding in their brilliance -- if they choose to honor those who are receiving from God -- regardless of their position or lack of Saul's armor in reputation and appearance of readiness." The Lord is also saying that "To go on with Me as a leader in this area is only going to be possible as my mouthpieces and handmaidens spend their energies on digging deep within the well I've placed within their heart to follow my Kingdom principles in relationships and use less energy and attach less importance--priority-- for some much less-- on trying to make things happen."

7. The Spirit is making it expressly clear that "Jesus wants a house jointly fitted, built-up according to the plan and purposes of God, not the second-hand strategies of men that reason, what, that they have done, can I do in my setting?" The Spirit says, "I want to show you each individually what I want done, and then you will truly begin to have fun. I did not call you so that you would follow the successes of others and make idols unto them by your replicas, I called you to be my sons and daughters, and so that you would mature and prepare for eternal communion with me. Being effective as my servant is the outworking result of faithfulness to me in your heart, it has never been a substitute for our relationship."

"Henceforth, I will not allow you to point to your ministry as proof of your discipleship unto me. There will be no more gleaning syrup from unripened trees, for I want my people to pursue my goodness, and taste my full proof of power and love. Trees that are unripened are going to be restricted from flowing unto my people, for truly do I want my people nourished, and truly do I extend my arms outward to them now with the goodness of my bounty."

8.  I am also seeing that churches and ministries will be moved into a position of faith like never before. "There are voices of the faith message in this area that are neither practicing it in their own lives, nor living it as a church." The Lord says, "I have plenty of everything that you need, and some of you will be required to learn that afresh."  I have a clear sense that the result of this for those who respond, however, will be that ministries are going to be believing more for the mission of God, and less for the maintenance of the church. God is not going to excuse leaders who fail to put their trust in Him at this point.

9. Concerning the more supernatural aspects of this. The two words the Lord gave me were "amalgamation" and "smorgasbord."  Specifically, that what God is bringing into the area will feature all the different aspects of what He's doing elsewhere, as well as what will be the focal point for this move: the reverential fear of the Lord.  Aspects of Toronto, Pensacola, the Prophetic Movement, and Praise and Worship that rivets personal attention to the throne of God will be featured, but moreover, the reverential fear of the Lord will accompany all portions and will manifest in differing degrees according to the need of the hour of the Lord to establish Himself as in charge of all.

"Some houses will flow in all these aspects of the supernatural, being sovereignly chosen and providentially prepared to be my Apostolic/Prophetic representations of the Kingdom," says the Lord. "In these settings, New Testament phenomena of all types will, over time, become the norm. Other houses will flow in some of these aspects of blessing, evangelism and gifting. A few houses will flow in one of these aspects, and... many will flow in none -- unless they repent." The Lord is also saying that "those houses who are willing to walk in more than they've been prepared for will not be refused, but it will require them to make immediate changes as a house in order for a wineskin to be established that can contain both the fountain of my blessing and also withstand the pressure of my fullness," says the King. Many will want to go where their lack of fullness won't keep them and they may visit it experience-wise, but God won't keep them there, they will have to.

10. God is positioning "firestarters" within this area, patient ones who will see this thing through regardless of the cost, for it will be great. The Lord says, "If my servants, whom I've handpicked for this move, don't respond, then the form of it will be altered and the fragrance of life will be intermingled with a stronger fragrance of death than at any time in the church's history. Disobedience, and varying from the covenant of My Word in ministry and priorities will open all up to dishonor, for this is my time, this is my season, and no one will be allowed to overrule my reason, for I will truly count it as treason."

11. The Lord also showed me that, "for those who will follow Me in all that I'm about to do in the coming months, there will be no more "near misses" or "aborted missions" in southern Ohio."  This is wonderful news for those of us who have felt the sting of "almost"  victories and other aspects of the Lord's blessing that we have believed were clearly coming to us, even witnessing to them in the Holy Spirit, but alas they were delayed and at times the prospects for them seemed totally destroyed.  

There will be more of a clear understanding in congregations with leadership as to who is "with them" and who isn't, as God's move proceeds. False voices of input that have been poisoning the waters of ministry and ministers with their viruses will be extracted and in some instances they will simply disappear without explanation from some circles-- but they are not to be mourned -- for the false voices simply won't be able to remain with the true, because of the cost.

12. Near the end of this time with the Lord, the Lord began to show me visions. In the Spirit I was taken to a view of this area from above. It looked almost like a map of southern Ohio and southwestern Ohio in particular were being shown to me. I saw a dividing line drawn from West to East across Southwestern Ohio.  As I prayed about what I was seeing, the area of Monroe southward to the Ohio river stood out to me.  The Lord revealed that the purging aspects of this move among leaders and congregations will be more strongly experienced from Monroe southward and that eventually the purging aspect will move up the Ohio river until it reaches all the way to Steubenville.

I then saw what looked like missiles being launched from S.W. Ohio and going toward targets 50-100 miles North, South, East and Southwest along the Ohio river toward Louisville. As I prayed, I heard the Lord say "These are the startings of new Kingdom works and what I do will be allowed to go as far east as people will allow, by cooperating with Me as I visit the existing churches and ministries."

The Lord is saying: "This is the time to be sober and vigilant. Efforts at promoting revival and refreshing in this area have not caught on because they were taken farther than I wanted them to go. First, the cost must be paid, the foundations must be laid, and I will not allow it to come apart from my establishment of those who will represent me with truthful love -- regardless of the outcome of that presentation -- receive those whom I send. You will know them by the Spirit. This is a special time of preparation, and you won't be able to make-up for lost ground in the days to come, and to the extent that you come aside now and let me houseclean and remodel, My coming move will not leave you exhausted, depleted and/or shipwrecked then -- because depending on how the leaders in this area tend to themselves now, it will go with them later, because a tremendous sound of rain, such as never been heard anywhere in Ohio, is about to fall and when it does, some will swim, some will frolic, some even surf -- but many will be drowned and carried to sea as castaways."

"Anyone who wants to hear -- hear now... I am coming to bring power and how I bring it and the form it takes will  depend upon the condition of your heart when I arrive. To some it will be as the fragrance of life, for others it will be as the smell of death."
